12 rounds is a movie is starred by a professional wrestler, so the action is somewhat believable. but the plot is somewhat common or unbelievable, no wonder it hasn't received a lot of good reviews. but if you're the type who is not overly critical of plot, this could be a good movie to watch too.

This is the type of movie I never get tired of watching! It starts of with a cool upbeat counting crows tune with the movie characters spoofing tons of other movies, and ends with a politically correct ending. This movie is full of funny scenes, from puss-n-boots' naughty tactics, to donkey's witty and annoying quips (are we there yet?!) I can't wait for Shrek the Third!!!!!!!
I was extremely disappointed at this film because it had a lot of potential all destroyed by Will Ferrel's brand of comedy. It was super-over acting that it just failed to be funny anymore. Nicole was pretty as usual though and at least SHE was effective at being a witch. Maybe they can make another remake with another leading man! :D
What I really hated: The bland acting and the dry story
I am not sure why but I can't help but think the character of Debra Messing is just very bland. I like her a lot in Will and Grace and I think she's really funny but in this movie, she was just plain blah-and-bland. The story isn't funny enough or engaging and I just can't seem to bring myself to root for the heroine and her weird and unlikely partner. Too bad... not my type of show I guess.
What I really hated: sometimes character is offensive
the story is about fletch, a journalist going through several disguises in order to investigate the identity of his killers -- the people who want to get hold of his inherited mansion. chevy chase was effective at being charming and at the same time very oboxiously witty. the mystery wasn't too engaging but the comedic moments were okay. the twists at the end were both surprising and amusing. it's not a spectacular movie, but its ok to watch anyway.
