I was expecting a thriller and violence movie like Scream,SAW or Hostel with a gore and brutal scenes but to my dissapointment this movie is not scary all.Oh ok it was based on a true events and its kindda scary to know that there are 1.4 million reported violence crimes happening in America according to the FBI.
its quite nice to see Liv Tyler appearing in 2 movies in 2008 but in this movie what she misses most is Mr Bruce Banner as he's the only one who can protect her.
What I really hated: Arabs character played by Indonesian can be confusing to viewers
Its likely to be showcase exclusively with the likes of other romances movie like Titanic,Meet Joe Black,Legends of the falls,Sweet november,Ghost and many more that i've watched.Ayat ayat cinta is an Asian success without projecting flesh or sex and yet this movies attracted millions in this region.The producer strictly focus on the 3 main character Maria( an Arab Egyptian Coptic),Aisha (A rich German/turkish)and Fahri(an Indonesian student in AL Azhar) with great storylines,poetic script and good act works.This story also potrays a truth and positive sides of Islam.A truly great story not to be missed.
And as Mr Robertson claimed that this movie degrades women and Fahri married Aisha for many are lies.Its obvious that Mr Roberston fabricated and twisted the story to suit his own agenda.First never in the story does fahri mention about marrying AIsha for money,in fact Aisha are the one who says that there are no material bound in their marriage and Fahri even suggest to get a full time job to be a head of the family.And lastly Al-azhar degree is not a stupid university degree as claimed by Mr.Robertson.Btw Al-azhar university is the first and the oldest university in the world,without their existence i guess they will be no Oxford,cambridge,berkeley or Harvard.Just like if the nile without Egypt,there will be no Egytian civilisation.I guess we know what is Mr.Robertson hate about.
