Nolan is simply a genius. I thought The Prestige was the best he could made but Dark Knight turn out even better. The story plot was strong and dark and the way Nolan tell the story was simply awesome. He mixed action and talking correctly and there was not a moment for the audience to take a breather.
What I loved most: Zhao Yun's rescue of Liu Bei's son
What I really hated: The lame jokes
The war in red cliff should be a dark movie but the lame jokes simply make it a lame movie. The war scene in the final part was simply a poor imitation of 300. The extras acting as the soldiers were also poor and lack of spirit and coordination.
Aaron Kwok prove his acting credential again in this movie. His acting as Ah Tam the detective is simply flawless and I have no doubt he can triumph for the 3rd consecutive time in the Golden Horse award. Thumbs up for Director Peng also as the movie story and sequence are good. Pity that the box office wont be high for this movie as most people are likely to go and watch the lacklusture Lust Caution.
