I have to admit that box office has been bombed by this movie surrounding the hype that it was Heath Ledger's last role before his death and rightfully so cos if u catch it, you'll understand why. His role as the Joker was totally on the spot (complete with the voice, dialogue, look, mannerisms etc.) He stole the limelight from Batty! but of course all this wouldn't have mattered if the story sucked, but with a good plot and enough development for the characters, The Dark Knight was truly a movie experience for all. I am keeping my fingers crossed to have a first superhero movie to ever win an Oscar. Joker's intricate plots and death traps had the audience enthralled while Batman had to make difficult decisions, such as who to save, exposing him to feelings of self doubt, comtempt and regret, showing to us that he's human after all. Not to be missed is also Aaron Eckhart's performance as Harvey Dent. Aaron's screen presence just stands out as the proseuctor who lost it all when he goes against the mafia and mob bosses of Gotham. Christian Bale, in my opinion, the best Batman ever, returns with another round of solid performance as Bruce Wayne. However, he was overshadowed by some of his new gadgets like the Batpod and his new suit (altho I didn't see much of a difference) and his new nemesis. Think I've gushed enough and if I haven't convinced you to watch this movie, you'll be missing out in an excellent one. Tough act to follow for the third Bat sequel.

What I loved most: "Good job"
Will Smith as superhero Hancock, not unlike Superman but with a huge image problem. He's not so well received with the world when his rescues comes with more collateral damage than the rescue itself. What seemed like a straightout fictional action flick does have some emotional side story with it. With good pacing and coudl do with a little more better CG effects, some laughs here and there, Hancock was quite enjoyable. Though with a bittersweet end, this is one movie not with the cliche end. Overall the movie was not overwhelming but still enjoyable.

Hellboy 2 promises more whimsical and strange creatures as compared to the first. Brought back to the big screen by the same director as Pan's labyrinth, one can't help but noticed maybe some creatures were actually recycled from Pan itself. Cost-cutting measures? The story in Hellboy 2 was more fantasy rather than demonish to my expectation (since Hellboy is from hell, thought there will be more demons and devils to fight with) instead you are bombarded with creatures from Spiderwick Chronicles. However, it is still a highly charged and entertaining movie. This time round, there was more talking and a deeper characterisation and understanding of the characters. What I liked most was, in my opinion, most powerful ally that came in the form of Dr Clauss. He is virtually indestructible! The whole folklore and Golden army seemed to overshadow the powers and capcabilities of the team members and does not leave a deep impression in me as to what they can do. But as I said, lots of action will keep you entertained throughout.

Ok, who thinks we need another cliche Bloodsport type of movie again? I caught this movie and was pleasantly surprised. With a slight hint of cheesiness, this movie actually is not so bad. It doesn't hurt that the 2 main male contenders didn't look too bad and with a babe in tow, great chreograped action scenes and Djion Houson, Never Back Down was entertaining and enjoyable. With a predictable story and ending, only if you appreciate the work and action scenes put into this show, will you enjoy it. Nice soundtrack as well. Believable action scenes but if bloody sport makes you queasy, try another show.

I have not seen the original Get Smart movie or the TV series but I enjoyed this one and do think that Steve Carell did a good job in it. There was much laughter in the hall where I was watching the show. The jokes are funnier and wittier though some are still slapstick but not as crass or dirty as Zohan. However, the plot is the simple and tried - dirty insider trying to bring down an organisation. Anne Hattaway looked comfortable and believable as Agent 99, the unwitting partner. The chemsitry was not sizzling hot but the pair makes afunny couple together. Overall, an enjoyable and not too disappointing show.

Zohan is a top-notch assasin that wants to break free and retire from his catching terrorists days and fulfil his dream of being a hairstylist. Presented with an opportunity one day, he escapes to America, got himself a hairstyling job and fell in love. However, Zohan also has a great appetite for sex. So if you are up for some crass humour, Zohan will cut away your stress and blow some laughter into your life. His funny 'turn-on" antics with the female customers are hilarious - up to a point. His funny Iranian/Iraqi/Afghan accent didn't help either. With higly exaggerated moves and sex-filled minutes, Zohan can be funny with you enjoy crass humour otherwise, you should be rolling your eye-balls constantly. Not for those seeking intellectual stimulation.
