The Diving Bell And The Butterfly

What I loved most: Original

What I really hated: None

You'll see Jean's world through his eyes and hear his thoughts. There's also flashback of his memory on fast lane. It is enlightening to feel and experience the world of a person who is paralysed and can only communicate with batting one eyelid. Suddenly life turns 360 deg and slows down rapidly for a successful and rich elle editor. His rich & vibrant inner world is trapped in a paralysed body. It's not all heavy and depressing, there are many funny moments balanced with equally sad ones. It's definitely worth your time and dollar. A learning experience for audience to be sensitive to such victims and reflect on your own life.

Beowulf

What I loved most: The characters look like the real actors

What I really hated: Hello what storyline is this? For kids ah?!

The only thing unusual about this movie is that the characters in the animation are based on real actors. Storyline is crappy and how am I supposed to grade its acting when it's animation? Some scenes are uneccesarily painful and violent to watch. I think this show appeals to gamers with no brains.

Doraemon The Movie

Storyline is so so but if you understand the bond between a human & an animal you will find some scenes very touching. Not much on Doraemon, more on Nobita. Movie imparts some values on friendship, sticking by your principles through adversity, allowing nature to be nature...

Expressions are sooo cute! It's a colourful & happy animation everyone should not miss! I feel like watching again on the big screen. This is surely going into my dvd collection

The Piano Tuner Of Earthquakes

What I loved most: Nothing much except setting was unusual

What I really hated: What is the director trying to convey??!!

The movie started off intriguing you with its visual and feel. It looked like an abstract play except that it's not staged but on a screen. So I was curious and continued to pay attention. But after one hour I thought "what's the whole point of the movie'. It's that kind of show which your mind could wander off and think about work or your lover and then returned to the movie and you still wouldn't miss anything. Yawn... waste of money.

Transformers

What I loved most: Visual Effects

What I really hated: Loose storyline

This is defintely a guy movie. I was attracted to the visuals but other than that it's really just another big budget typical American movie, evne it's humour is less witty and in-your-face. But can't say I don't enjoy it at all, just that I don't think I can spend my life only watching movie of such contents and genre.
