What I loved most: It made me laugh throughout the movie in many scenes..
Went to watch this movie without really knowing its story and review beforehand.. This movie is seriously funny and had made me laugh almost throughout the whole movie with the brothers' idiotic characters. Understanding the movie from deep within, you will find that it focuses a lot on kinship building, family is something that makes your wings grow.. Although this is an adult movie due to crude actions and language, I am sure it will be suitable for families who has all grown ups.. Hilarious mostly, it also consist of touching moments, hair-raising moments(in a positive way).. it really feels great to see the brothers stand up on their own at the end of the movie.. I would strongly recommend you to watch this movie if you can to understand what I mean.. although not oscar-worthy, but definitely memorable!
Got free tickets from My Paper for preview screening. Did not know much about this movie, poster said it was adpated from "Liao Zhai" series, so was expecting something creepy and horrifying.. For people who prefers horror movies, you are discouraged from watching this.
The story was ok, not boring and tensing at many parts. With the usual Donnie Yen fighting scenes; however, this is the first time i am seeing him in a movie with comedy substance (maybe i watched far too little movies of him). He can be quite funny when you see his stern face suddenly become a smiley vegabond.
The components of this movie I would say its 60% Romance, 20% Action, 10% Comedy, 10% Horror. Decide for yourself whether to watch it or not ba..

The advertisment for this movie had already made me wanted to watch it so much. It definitely did not disappoint me, the funny parts in this movie was not clustered into any main parts, it was instead spreaded out throughout the movie. Imagine having a big laugh at 1 part, it lets you rest for a minute or so, the whole theatre will start roaring at another the next minute. Guaranteed to make you relaxed and joyful after a hard day's work.. Must catch it if you can!
The most splendid part of this movie was its visual effects, some parts of the movie really made me think it was the real actor in the anime itself.. Story was average, not exactly gripping.. I would rate it memorable for its fantastic animation..
Big Big Big Big Question... When is this movie gonna come down? Seems like it has been hanging around in the movie theatres for decades... Have they not profited from it?
I will make this review short and sweet. This movie has everything that you want.. Fun, Action, Romance, Thrill.. Practically all-in-one.. I haven't seen a movie that made me love it for quite some time.. This one made me feel fascinated and totally mesmerized.. It's seriously worth what i have paid. Mark my words and watch it..
