I really love the song when Miriam sings it though she is not the original singer. Song title = movie title.
I think the director is trying to show us Hong Kong from 1997 till 2007. Another thing is how Hong Kong ladies' basic requirements when they choose their life partner - either rich, richer or richest.
However, I was hoping that Eason and Miriam end up together but it was otherwise. This movie is not as memorable as the theme song but it is still
worth watching. (Rent the disc unless you are a diehard fan of Eason or Miriam)
I have never watch a movie with this kind of storyline before. I find it interesting. Commendable performance by Simon and Tony Leung here (expected) Maggie Siu was not bad either.
Though the poster and the title may not be that attractive or convincing, this movie is still worth a watch. If you are sceptical, rent the DVD.
What I loved most: Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling
What I really hated: The ending
Well there are some bad reviews and some good reviews about this psychological thriller. I say, Fracture is still entertaining in its own way. Anthony Hopkins is a structural engineer who planned to murder his unfaithful wife and her lover. Ryan Gosling plays a hot shot district attorney who "doesnt lose" in his cases.
Expect good performance from these two actors. Though this movie offers its twists and wits however the ending is left hanging. You are to find the continuance of this story by yourself and the final verdict depends on you.
What I really hated: Lenghty and the killer looked so stupid
I cut it short for you. Do not waste your time going for Zodiac. If you like serial killer movies, i would recommend Silence of The Lamb, Bone Collector..
This movie is draggy and boring towards the end. This killer boasts to be so intelligent but when he appear in one of the scene, you will change your perception. What is that?
What I really hated: Not Bruce Almighty 2 or Bruce Almightier
If you have watched Bruce Almighty, do not compare Steve Carrell with Jim Carrey. Jim is still the man.
Nevertheless, this guy has his own style in humoring you.
Remember Evan? The newscaster from Almighty series? Evan is taking lead in this sequel a heavenly mission instructed by Mr "G" Himself.
He is building an ark.
Check out this 90 minutes above average movie, it is worth watching.
By the way, Jim if you are reading this, stop playing numbers. Leave Jane and get back on track. Choose your next movie wisely almighty one.
First of all, I don't like Pixar, I love em. They never fail to impress me.
Let me see, I love Finding Nemo, I love The Incredibles. Cars was not bad either but...... Ratatouille... ee...is er.. something different.
Oh this is one unique story. A rat who can cook? Come on who dare to venture into an extreme idea like this (Brad Bird did)
Personally, I think adults would enjoy more. There are some dull moments. Pixar fans might be disappointed if you think Ratatouille is boiling with non-stop humor and fun. Kids may lose their interest and start walking around inside the cinemas because there are a lot of talking in here.
Anyway, this is more like a real life movie rather than a traditional "Pixar" masterpiece.
Eventhough, Ratatouille may not be a Classic to some people but it is still a memorable movie in many years to come.
Overall, I am rating this movie between 3.80 stars. Story is unique, directing is wonderful and the visuals are "soup-burppp!!!".
Worth watching and you get a short film as appertizer!
