I must applaud the movie although it is always a customary observation that sequels are often not better off than the main debut.
Hill Have Eyes 2 is much more exciting than Part 1. At least in Part 2, we dont see the victoms helplessly getting killed as the monstrous beings raped, flogged and bashed them to death. Part 2 had many scenes worth a cheer, especially when one of the soldiers (the one who get punished by his sergeant to stand beside the toilet with rifle up and stand on one leg) bashed one of the monstors until his face get smahed up.
The show had reiforce my determination to give up watching Japanese horrors with immediate effect.
The storyline is confusing.
The acting casts sucks!!
The show could be a box office hits if it is thrown in the timezone back to the 60s where people will be aghast with a female spirit cladded in red gown floating around and up and down like superman, although the latter just put on a red underwear but still captivate audience till today.
Turistas is a movie that gives a wake up call to those youngsters who think that being adventurous can tickle their adrenalin gland but had never thought that an overflow of the juice can kill.
It has the shadow of Texas Chainsaw Massacre theme but in the current plot, the killer uses a surgical knife, not an electric saw.
This movie should be the one that heralds the first horror Thai movie shown here, Nang Nak.
The storyline is so mediocre and acting so steadfast.
The characters are not lively. Especially the lead actress (who resembled abit like our Mediacorp artiste Ivy Lee), she does not pose an outstanding cast and cannot project that conjectures of a victim tormented by the ghost.
