C'mon this was a crapfest. I was pretty disgusted by the show. So many things in the book were left out of movie, which may not have been a bad thing, but the sequence of events and directing was horrible. There was no suspense created, no atmosphere what so ever, and i found myself having to explain the entire movie to my girlfriend who didn't read the book. Come on, for a book of such epic proportions we've got to get a better movie than that. Seriously a terrible waste of money.
Okay, i'm not a big fan boy of transformers and decided to do this review after watching it a second time recently. A few months ago i would have given it a 4 or 5 star rating, but that would probably be an inflated rating influenced by the whole transformers-craze. Some people call it the best movie ever (wtf), and i'm not saying i have better taste than anyone but its just an above average movie to be honest. The brightest spark was shia labeouf who was hilarious and really good at portraying his role. 4 stars for me :)
I watched this with my girlfriend with absolutely no expectations due to the vast contrasting quality of animated films in recent years (from ratatouille to happily n'ever after). What i ended up with was an exceptional heart warming show i never dreamed i'd watch. The characters were flawlessly crafted and portrayed, the songs were catchy and fun and patrick dempsey and amy adams together reminded me of my own relationship. It was really easy to get in the story and i recommend this to anyone and everyone, bring your date to this show. A must-see.
This show was truly dreadful and it was difficult for me to sit through the entire show. Where do i start? The jokes were awful in a totally not funny (plain stupid) way and i didn't laugh out loud a single time. The main character came off as arrogant and irritating and it didn't evoke any sympathy for him. Finally the storyline was so drawn out, it was super boring and i never want to see it again.
I thought the idea was exceptional, having a vampire attack on a town which sees no daylight for 30 days. However, the climate of fear was never properly created and i found it difficult to empathise with the characters. Furthermore you couldn't really keep track of the time and 30 days seemed to pass too haphazardly. Pretty disappointing really.
