Joan Chen would perhaps be the saving grace for this film. Chen pulls off a seemingly complicated and angst filled character with remarkable ease and depth that would not be present in most other actresses. The plot does get some good development in the beginning, but loses steam towards the end when things starts to get really tensed and complex. Despite a strong showing from Chen and some of the Austrailian actors, this film is hardly engaging enought to connect with the audience. It infuses many different ideas and emotions that weighs down heavily on the audience. This is the sort of movie whereby it's either you get it or you don't. Personally, i didn't really capture what the film was trying to say. But, i was definitely enthralled by Chen.

Brimming with the splendid shots of the Artic and its glaciers, this film is very appealing to the visuals. It is almost similar to any kind of programmes shown on cable tv like Animal Planet and National Geographic. But, this film manages to bring across the message of environmental damage and climate changes in a very subtle note, by tracking the changing habits of the Artic animals to adapt to a rapidly melting "home". Instead of catastrophobic projections of the damages of climate change, what we get from this film is the plight of these Artic animals- indirectly spelling the woes and concerns over climate change. Narrated in a serious-cum-light tone by Queen latifah, this film is not only a visual treat to the eyes, but also, a reminder to all mankind about our complacency of our existence on Earth; while many others are struggling just to see a brand new day.

This is seriously a no brainer, convulating twists and plots culminates in an ending that still leaves you with a lot of questions and twenty minutes after the film, you still find yourself struggling to figure out what has just happened. The poster looks terrific and gives a sense of mystery and intrigue, but the actual movie itself, though intriguing and mysterious, wasn't engaging enough to be a nice psychological thriller. The revelation of the killer was more of an anti climax than a climax. Lohan's performance wasnt terrible, it was just substandard. In the end of it all, i still don't understand what exactly is the film trying to say. Ah, now i know who killed me, the movie did.

What I loved most: Sweet moments between Jones and Eckhart
What I really hated: Seriously, the cheesy kissing scenes
This film is by no means a great film. It follows the tried-and tested formula of most Hollywood romantic comedies, that is silghtly cliched and cheesy. What saves this film from total condemnation would be the wonderful cast. Jones tackled her character with the right amount of coldness and Eckhart is just oozing sensuality with his charming character. The fiery interaction between Jones and Eckhart pretty much lifts the entire film out of complete boredom. Though the sequence of events is entirely predictable, 'No Reservations' is surprisingly pleasing and brimming with warmth.

Pixar animation has done it yet again; this film is brimming with cuteness and the whole backdrop looks so lifelike that one could almost feel that he/she is in Paris. Of course, the protagonist Remy(the mouse) is incredibly likeable and possesses the X factor (for cuteness) that will surely buy you over. The pace of the film is just nice, with funny, emotional and tensed moments evenly woven together. More incredibly, this film is able to interweave real life issues into such a light hearted film. Brilliant in execution, this film is worth the ticket price and a few Oscars noms (since the not-so good 'Cars' can get an Oscar) .

This film is one taht will quite literally blow your hair away! Packed full of laughters, nifty dance moves, infectious music and crooning voices of the main leads, this film is not only fun, but explosive! Nikki Blonsky gave an incredible showing, even before heavyweights such as John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer and Queen latifah. Travoltra was immenesely funny and the other characters fit nicely into their own characters, giving lots of vibrance to the film. There isn't exactly a storyline running through the film but it is certainly light-hearted and enjoyable. If "Dreamgirls" can snab 8 Oscar nods, i don't see reasons why "Hairspray" won't.
