Action packed but a little rushed at the end

What I loved most: New Characters like Sideswipe, Soundwave, Jetfire, Etc

What I really hated: too many plot holes, unnamed decepticons,

This was the movie i was waiting to watch..but a little disappointed with the outcome..The Good: actioned packed from the beginning. Optimus Prime and Bumble bee kicking some ass. Optimus prime really rocked! The new characters added like the old fart Jetfire, the satellite like Soundwave, the skillful Sideswipe, Devastator, etc. Funny moments esp the scene where the group went to look for jetfire. The Bad: Too many plotholes in the storyline. like who were the many decepticons in the end? Some of them had already joined up to form the 'mighty' devastator and yet they were still wondering around attacking the humans and the autobots. Attack of the clones? And speaking of devastator I was hoping for a big fight scene but was surprised at how fast and easily it was defeated. And while optimus and bumble bee got to kick some butt wat were the rest doing? they were practically drinking coffee and watching the movie as well! The ending was a little rushed for me too.. and where is barricade (the decepticon police car)? chasing some thieves? Overall there is probably gonna be a part 3 hopefully it would be as actioned packed but at the same time have lesser plot holes and hopefully bigger roles for the likes of sideswipe, ironhide, soundwave, etc

Cinema Online's Review Back to top

"Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen" has spanned beyond the limits of awesomeness into a great divide between reality and fantasy in the art of modern filmmaking. Director Michael Bay stretches the sequel to the first Transformers movie to double up in terms of every little...and large things that are available within the movie to please new and old Transformers fans in every way possible. He succeeded.

Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime, who forms an alliance with international armies for a second epic battle.

"Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen" is a sequel that bears almost the same resemblance to the format of Christopher Nolan's celebrated "Batman Begins" sequel, "The Dark Knight", minus the overdone dialogue and adding in more vicious, action-packed alien robot battle sequences. Unlike the first film where the awe-inspiring battle sequence only comes at the end of the film, "Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen" is almost two and a half hours filled with many, many battle sequences.

The most remarkable and signature item within this movie is the extraordinary computer generated graphics created by the highly reputable Industrial Light & Magic that gives more life to the Transformers. Hardcore and old-timer Transformers fans will be extra-satisfied when they watch their childhood memories come to life with the Autobots and Decepticons moving just like their 2D animated counterparts back in the 1980s. "Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen" will keep you on the edge of your seat watching a breakthrough in the art of computer graphics that's so real that you will think the humans in the film are the ones who are fake. This is the kind of movie that proves that Hollywood is still tops in the movie business.

The romance between Sam and Mikaela is also doubled, added in with a special extra touch that keeps their relationship fresh and separates it from the typical romantic emotions that appears in most other movies. The most anticipated spice of the film, Megan Fox, has also finally improved on her acting, adding more life to her character and leaving lesser flaws for the critics to comment on. The only downside of this movie is the lengthy duration of them film that could tire some of the audience just like in "The Dark Knight". Still, get ready for a joyride in a long and superb process of transformation that will leave your jaws dropping all over the cinema floor.
