| Three Kingdoms: Resurrection Of The Dragon (2008) - User Reviews |
Good but not a classic
What I loved most: Battle, Casting
What I really hated: Lack of charater details
It is a good film to enjoy. The casting is very interesting as you will find many familiar HK actors in it. However, I feel that if the director can develop the characters more, it will be more interesting. Having said that, it is difficult to compress all of them in one movie. Overall, it will not be a classic but it is worth your ticket price.

What I really hated: Historically unaccurate
Almost everything is historically unaccurate in the movie. It will terribly mislead the viewers who dont know the history of the Three Kingdoms period. The only thing i liked is probably the war scenes. Well, i guess i will put my hopes on the other Three Kingdoms movie, Battle of the Red Cliff starring Takeshi Kaneshiro and Tony Leung.

What I loved most: Fighting Scenes
What I really hated: Wrong Direction of History
If you know the history of three kingdoms, you will find this movie to be alot different from the facts. Firstly, costume is not appropriate. Secondly, MaggieQ character as Cao Ying is not in the records of CaoCao descendents. Three Kingdoms is a great history story to flim a series of movie, but i personally feel the direction is wrong. Well, they skip alot of interesting storyline of the peak of three kingdoms on the great 4 warriors to focus on Zhao Yun makes the movie abrupt.

What I really hated: ENDING WAS TOO ABRUPT
Well, i really hated the ending..It ended too abruptly...
The fighting scenes, well, i loved it..It looked realistic..The story was simple and easy to follow..I have never read this novel before. But anyway, as far as i understand it, it's about China in its early times during war. 2 different armies fighting against one another...and during the war, prevailed a hero...played by Andy Lau.....etc....
