What I loved most: War Scenes

What I really hated: all the soldiers outfit(armour, helmet and flags)

Despite so many negative review, i still went to watch it as i wish to judge it myself. A hardcore fan of three kingdoms expectations of the movie relatively high. Starting Zhao Zilong(Andy Lau) join Liu Bei's Army as recruits? How come? And there is a Luo Ping An, who is he? just another friction character like cao ying. worst thing is the brotherhood of zhao yun and luo ping an. if i didnt remember wrongly, zhao yun only become sworn brother of zhao fan and no one else. luo ping an is more like an extra in the movie. somemore when liu bei see zhao yun, he didnt recongised him. In the three kingdom history, liu bei already know zhao yun since his time when gongsun zan. Vanessa Wu as guan ping, his scene last for few minutes even lesser than guan yu and zhang fei. The scene of zhao yun saving ah dou is the only scene following the three kingdom history but somehow still have some changes like liu bei's wife is already dead(when supposed that the wife throw herself into the well).Zhao yun fought off all wei soldiers with valour. somehow, he managed to attack cao cao and snatched his sword which is totally untrue. the truth is zhao yun got the sword through killing xiahou en(cao cao give the sword to xiahou en) What makes me confused is when did deng zhi got three brothers??? zhao yun should already have zhao tong and zhao guang in his old age. but i didnt see them in the movie. being left out? As a summary, the whole movie is disappointing for hardcore fans of three kingdoms like me. hopefully in june the Red Cliff will be the better one

What I really hated: Playing pi pa in the middle of battle field

For those you read RTK, this movie sucks. It do not even follow some very basic things in the story. Zhuge Liang looks much older than Zhao Yun at the start of the movie. And since when did Zhao Yun draft to become a soldier with Liu Bei? And where does Cao Ying comes from??? Loads of nonsense. The amour gear is also an eye sore. All of them are wearing awful looking helmets that look like a hybrid of ranger hat and current modern combat helmet. For those who know nuts about Romance of the Three Kingdom, this show is an OKAY entertainment. The direction and the story line is bad. The whole affair developed too quickly. When you watch it, you would feel any intense feeling, excitement, sadness or whatever. Just some heads chopping and blood squirting affair. Not bad for those who like gory gory sight. The only saving grace is that Andy Lau played the character well by portraying the heroism of Zhao Yun. For avid RTK fans, you are more likely to be disappointed by this VERY VERY loosely adapted version of the novel.

What I really hated: ppl tot tat the book Romance of the 3 kingdom is a history book

omg.. i dunnoe y ppl r complaining tat this movie is "Historically inaccurate".. do any of those ppl noe tat the book "Romance of the 3 kingdom" is a noval and not really a history book? a lot of things writen in tat book is also "historically inaccurate". so unless u really noe the "true" history of the 3 kingdoms, pls stop complaining tat this movie is historically inaccurate..

For those who know about the history of 'Three Kingdom' advise not to watch tis show as the story line was disappointed. However tis show is suitable for those who does not read 'Three Kingdom story' and for those who like battle scene.
