What I really hated: Bad story ending....
*Is kind of too much talking... not much of the flooding scene...thou it looks real.. not showing more massive disaster the flood could make.. *The whole story seem very short cut..bit here and there..abt the father & son(Still ok,quite touching)..abt the flood(So little!Cut out mostly from the real news,i think).. *The ending,wat the hell in such situation,they only can have an oxygen tank!?!The old man can survive with two or three!!Then whats the ending after they made it to open the barrier???NO ENDING!Where the water goes???**Wasted all effects,cause by no story directions..should had done better...

British Actor Can't Act!!!
What I loved most: Nothing Fantastic

I can't believe I felt asleep after 5 mins of the showtime. Perhaps this is my first time watching a British film disasters movie. All the actors acting & conversation was very dull & stiff. Storyline very Longwinded. Regretted of watching this movie.

I think that the show should improve more on the ending part as it concludes the overall settings of the show. It shows Rob's father Morrison, Rob and his ex-wife sam and controlling the movements of the barrier. The show also mention the sacrificing of a person at the barrier in order to stop the massive flood. But in the end, it only show Morrison died in the water without showing the end...More
I think that the show should improve more on the ending part as it concludes the overall settings of the show. It shows Rob's father Morrison, Rob and his ex-wife sam and controlling the movements of the barrier. The show also mention the sacrificing of a person at the barrier in order to stop the massive flood. But in the end, it only show Morrison died in the water without showing the end results of the flood, whether the barrier did stop the flood from coming in.

With London as its location, "Flood" fails to utilise the city to the fullest to make this flick a distinctive hit. It's very rare for a disaster movie to take place in London. So why let it go to waste? Presented with no timing and no punch, it makes the story flow like a flood with no specific direction and leads you to endless boredom. All it accomplishes is highlighting the English style of movie making. It drags on at such a slow pace and with such politeness that it turns you off. It's like I was watching it on the BBC Entertainment Channel. It's like an amateur had been given the chance to shoot a film for the first time! Tony Mitchell seems to have not planned the route he took when he made the movie as it appears as though the movie was made in a hurry.
Cast-wise, Robert Carlyle in the leading role (Rob) performed within his comfort zone, and nothing extraordinary can be observed from his effort. Jessalyn Gilsig who plays Rob's ex-wife Samantha, manages to deliver acceptable acting despite the poor storyline. Veteran Tom Courtenay, famously known for his role in "Doctor Zhivago", was another disappointment. He displays no charisma whatsoever in his performance. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast were just there to fill up the screen, eventually delivering no emotional touch at all. What a tedious performance!
"Flood" should observe and learn how Hollywood filmmakers transform their disaster flicks into big hits. There's nothing wrong with highlighting the emotional facet throughout the movie but the presentation has got to be sharp and timely. Instead, it is presented with no timing and is pathetic enough that a few scenes intended to highlight the emotional aspect fail to do so! So what's left for "Flood"?
Suitable to its theme - "predict the unthinkable", this movie creates early speculation and some hope for it, but after watching it I realise that what I had earlier predicted for the movie turned out to be completely wrong. Again, it is just a complete disaster.
