All Jason Bourne wants is to disappear but now is hunted by the very people who made him what he is. Having lost his memory and the one person he loved, he is undeterred by the barrage of bullets and a new generation of highly-trained killers. Bourne has only one objective - to go back to the beginning and find out who he was. Now, in the new chapter of this espionage series, Bourne will hunt down his past in order to find a future. He must travel from Moscow, Paris, Madrid and London to Tangier and New York City as he continues his quest to find the real Jason Bourne - all the while trying to outmanoeuver the scores of cops, federal officers and Interpol agents with him in their crosshairs.

What I loved most: Jason Bourne

What I really hated: Things they are: Lame storyline, Screwed up, Worst of all, Bourne finding his identity AGAIN??????!!

This movie is worse than those of James Bond...... Wanna Know Why?????? 6 reasons....: 1. He's finding his identity again???? 2. It's all screwed up... 3. Storyline is stupid.... 4.Sudden change in some scenes.... 5. Turn-Around is too quick..... 6.THEY HIRED THE WRONG JASON BOURNE ACTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Suggestion: Director should learn from James Bond directors (eg. John Glenn or Martin Campbell) and give Jason Bourne a code no. eg.. 007 (James Bond)..... Second...... Change the storyline a bit......... Third....... have something to do with money Eg. the casino in it...... But seriously,this movie has not developed enough......as this movie has not much of change from its prequel The Bourne Identity.... but still much seroulsly...... this movie has a good character........................ Jason Bourne,,,,,,,,,, But Jason is a lame name 4 a spy or secret agent....... u should give him an interesting name....... like Stephen of Daniel or................................... Hisau.......... These types of films do no originate in asia at all You still wanna know Why???????? Because American directors don't bother 2 come to Singapore or any other part of Asia to film this movie..... Take "Tomorrow Never Dies". There was a part which had a Malaysian Actress Michelle Yeoh........ This director knows i have HIGH standards..... so i will be waiting all right...... he has to impress me so that i can change my mind........... or i will stubbornly still stick 2 James Bond...............

Bourne raises the bar on Action Films

The trilogy comes to a close with an amazing and intense action packed entry, marking an impressive conclusion and raising the bar on action films. While The Bourne Supremacy seemingly brought a sense of closure for Jason Bourne (Damon) and set him on the hunt of his true identity, not everything was as it seemed then, especially when Ultimatum opens in Russia, moments after he leaves the apartment of the girl he confessed to about killing her parents. In fact, the phone call to Pamela Landy (Allen) which played as an epilogue in Supremacy is worked in as a plot point that occurs in the middle of Ultimatum, and even that appeared to have changed what the previous ending meant. As Bourne makes his way out of Russia in the opening sequence, a British reporter, Simon Ross (Considine) triggers a new manhunt by the CIA with his investigations into Bourne and BlackBriar, an upgraded version of Treadstone which Bourne worked for. BlackBriar was actually mentioned so very briefly in The Bourne Identity, so it is a thread that ties everything together (and it is something that is not in any of the novels, developed strictly for the movies.) As Bourne tracks down the reporter (who is also being targeted by BlackBriar), he learns more about his origins and the programme that spawned him. However, it’s all information that Vosen (Strathairn) wasn’t keen on letting out and they considered Bourne a leaky loose cannon (they assumed he was the reporter’s source) that needed to be put down. Cue cat and mouse shenanigans. Damon has grown into the role quite comfortably. I always found it to be unusual casting but the intent had been to present Bourne as a person who, on the surface, wasn’t likely to do the kinds of things he was capable off. A person who was so unsure of himself but goes into auto-pilot when the danger surfaced and he acted on instinct. Here, Damon does take Bourne to the next level as his character begins to learn about his past and becomes comfortable with his abilities. Julia Stiles also returns for a third round as Nicky Parsons, the Treadstone operative who survived Bourne’s initial assault in the first movie. This time around, she gets more to do and even assists Bourne in his quest, which makes her character one of significance in his life. While Joan Allen reprises her role and carries it along the story as if nothing much had changed between the two movies (which pretty much act as one very long movie), Strathairn is effectively creepy as the BlackBriar head of operations. Writer Tony Gilroy carries forward the loose ends form the two previous movies to its conclusion here but only in terms of its story. The many layers of Bourne and the complexity of the plot would probably require some knowledge of the previous installments, so a casual viewer might get a little lost. But it’s Paul Greengrass who deserves the kudos. He injected such verve and intense involving action in The Bourne Supremacy and returns to do more of the same, but with far more urgency this time around. The pace of the movie is relentless from the get go and it’s something that would draw the viewer in. The fights are claustrophobic and intense while the chases are far more involving than in the previous installments, thus finally achieving the level of action that the first movie aspired to. The pulse pounding score by John Powell is also of note as it, too, keeps the pace of the movie racing and maintains the suspense in a mojority of the scenes, toning down (surprisingly) for the major hand to hand fight scene. There are a few motifs that have been carried forward and sustained through all three films (he did score them all) with a surprisingly tender piece for the Bourne / Nicky moments, sort of hinting at their relationship. The cinematography makes the best of available lighting, or at least the semblance of it, in order to give it a real world sense. The constant handheld motion of the camera (or shaky-cam as it’s usually referred to), which Greengrass had employed to great effect in Supremacy as well as United 93 and the much earlier Bloody Sunday, brings about the urgency one would find in battlezones on the news. Although, some viewers might end up with a bit of a headache. Impossible as it may seem, this is one of the best actions films of the year so far as well as one of the better movies of the year.

This movie is like talking about human has been trained to be a killing machine and super hero never died. quite excting action movie, but story normal. It could be seen if you don't have better choice. It could be make you feel the world become hopless, unsafety and non personal security because the high position of goverment can kill people in legal and intellegent way.

What I loved most: Matt Damon of course! & the non-stop action scenes.. Basically evth about the movie!

What I really hated: Absolutely nothin'!

Simply love everything about this movie! Very engaging and keeps you glued to your seat. This is a must watch for anyone who likes action movies as you will definitely not be disappointed. Great performance by Matt Damon and Joan Allen. And probably the best of the trilogy. Thumbs up!!

This third instalment of the Bourne franchise jumps right into the action from the opening scene, picking up from where "The Bourne Supremacy" left off. From then on, there is no let-up in the pace as we follow Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) in his quest to uncover his real identity. If you are prone to sweaty hands when you are tensed, make sure you bring along extra hankies.

The "Bourne" series has a built-in sympathy factor for the protagonist - particularly in his bid for survival and in the loss of his German girlfriend (Franka Potente) in the second movie. Here, it comes into play again when we find the CIA top brass crying out for blood - Bourne's and anyone who comes into contact with him. So, as CIA director Ezra Kramer (Scott Glenn) and division chief Noah Vosen (David Strathairn), try to cover up a potentially embarrassing experiment, they opt for the easy way out: terminate on sight.

As usual, the movie globe-trots with Bourne and he is constantly on the move - from Moscow and Paris to London where he tries to meet up with a British journalist (Paddy Considine as Simon Ross) to discover the reporter's source who may lead him to his real identity. The stakeout and subsequent cat-and-mouse game at the crowded Waterloo station are bound to leave us breathless. The sequences are significantly tensed because Bourne not only has to look out for himself, but also for the safety of his contact. As he outwits his pursuers, we marvel at his observation skills and knowledge of his surroundings.

Next, we find Bourne in Madrid, Spain, and Tangier, Morocco, where he meets up with old flame Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles) and tries to intercept another contact. Here, the action takes place precariously over the rooftops of tenement houses and narrow streets. Throughout the movie, the action scenes appear rather blurry as the hand-held camera shakes a lot - even more than in the previous movie. Looking back, we now appreciate the clarity with which director Doug Liman helmed "The Bourne Identity", arguably the best of the series. Paul Greengrass, who also directed "Supremacy", is more into action and he does not seem to bother with pedestrian details like how an embattled Bourne can manage to move around the world so easily and quickly.

As expected, Bourne always goes 'full circle', returning to New York for the 'final encounter' with his old CIA colleague, Pam Landy (Joan Allen), and 'new' enemies. Here again, Greengrass does his sleight-of-hand tricks, making Bourne appear and disappear mysteriously in high-security buildings and offices.

Yes, the "Bourne" espionage series works in the same 'gung-ho' way as the Bond outings - only that the action in "Bourne" is grittier and dirtier than Bond. However, the latter is also catching up in this department, as we have seen in last year's "Casino Royale".

As the closing credits roll, one thought comes to our mind: Will there be a fourth movie? Well, "The Bourne Ultimatum" is the last of Robert Ludlum's so-called 'Bourne Trilogy'. Ludlum died in March 2001 but his 'Bourne' stories were continued by Eric Van Lustbader in "The Bourne Legacy" (2004) and "The Bourne Betrayal" (2007). Yes, it is safe to say that we will be seeing more of Bourne. Hollywood never lets its box-office heroes fade away.
