Flogging a Dead Horse

What I loved most: Nothing

What I really hated: Almost everything

The Bad: crappy dialogue, lame jokes, rubbish plotting, awful character animation. The OK: busy battle scenes. The Good: nothing. When will Lucas stop plundering the corpse of the franchise? It would be more productive to watch grass grow.

Clone wars lost to another bot

With 2 highly anticipated animation movies opening in time for the school hols, kids and parents will be flocking to cinemas to catch them. Well to begin with, I wasn't really looking forward to catching Clone Wars after viewing the trailer. I was not wrong when I left the hall feeling the same way. It was not all that bad. There was a story but with animation instead of live actors, the action seemed less engaging. Clone Wars was supposed to be set between Parts 2 and 3 and tells the story of the kidnapping of Jabba the Hutt's baby (dun ask me how the baby came abt) by Count Dukku in his attempt to set the Republic up so that Jabba would join his forces and gain access to routes controlled by him. Even with the introduction of a new apprentice, the banter between them was annoying after some time when they kept going after each others throat. The lighthearted and funny moments, ironically, came from the enemy driods with the funny one-liners before being pulverised. But fans will relish another star wars movie though the animation pales in comparison to Shrek.

Try harder.

What I loved most: Go Jedi !

What I really hated: Poor animation, sadly.

It's been so long since I last heard Star Wars theme music plays across the cinema, but this time, the cinema is empty. Partly because this is a lousy animation that don't really look very appealing. The images looked dead (They don't really feature any emotions) and boring, and you're probably gonna doze off during the 90 minutes duration. The story is pretty much classic and goes on and on. Visuals are mostly on the shooting and bombings, pretty impressive with these D-grade animation to save costs. If they wanted to make an animation movie, try the Beowulf style, though it looks a little dead, but at least the animation is top-notch and looks very real ! But by the end of Clone Wars, you'll either love it or hate it. I'll say it's for kids, but fans may want to take a look.

Stunning Animation

What I loved most: Lucasarts CG bringing a different dimension to the movie

What I really hated: continuation of The Clone Wars story.....

Watched it last week in Malaysia and I strongly suggest to all SW fans to go and watch this movie. Even theres a NEW vibrant background SW music that combine with all the action in it. Long lived Star Wars !
