What I loved most: How all the ppl that work on this project embarass themselves

What I really hated: Same as the above.

Im speaking on behalf of all the designers out here. When i first saw the long trailer, i was disgusted. then i saw the dancing monkeys that makes me throw up. The designers or animators in this project either sucks or really have to rush everything in like, 2 weeks? I feel ashamed as a designer. The animation i swear it looks like my animation using the 3d software for dummies, Poser. And how hard is it to make 3 different looking monkeys and movement? if u see the trailer, the 3 dancing monkeys look the same and dance the same. Copy and paste? yukks. Elvis inspired and ugly and not cute character? give me a break. Worst movie of the decade.

Just because the animation is a local production, doesn’t necessary means the consumers/viewers will support out of a sense of patriotism and be less demanding. We, the viewers like to support our local productions but please, at least produce quality stuff. We don’t expect our local productions to churn out Hollywood-like mega budget movies with A-list actors but we expect creativity, artistic and quality scripts, not this type over hype amateurish staff. The music and sound tracks…..hmmm it is very Dick Lee-ish type of music. Since this is a Media Corp joint production, I doubted that we will get an independent review from the movie critics on the radio and TV channel.

absolutely NOTHING good about this. Animation looks like its pixar from 10+ years ago. Crappy plot, crappy songs. This is the best Singapore animation has to bring?? This is not even good enough to be released straight to DVD.

What I really hated: Plenty

When I first saw the trailer and heard the theme song, I got goose bumps all over. I knew instantly that this animation will not make it. By reading all the reviews here, my bet was proven correct. What irritated me was the constant showing of the movie trailer on Channel News Asia. The trailer was not even great to begin with and yet the constant showing on CNA. The theme song "If you believe" was not well sung, whoever the singer was couldn't hit the high notes. It was too painful for the ears. For goodness sake, next time come up with a better trailer and a better sung theme song. That will at least boost their ticket sales. I have not watch it yet and neither am I intend to watch it.
