step_lim

What I loved most: scared factor

What I really hated: touch and possess thing (very unconvincing)

to step_lim could it be that the scene where the wife appear is a story made up by shawn to the police chief? there's another scene which show ekin and shawn, ekin was shot before he could take a sit. overall, scare factor not bad. shawn acts better than ekin. gave overall 3 stars because of stiff acting from ekin and fiona. the ghosts acted better. story wise not bad. the ending could be better.

Good movie for Fiona lovers

What I loved most: Fiona's in it

What I really hated: Eh... ghosts kinda pwned the whole game...

I think this story's like kinda imbalanced... like ghosts can do so many stuff... so if u wanna pwn just try to die b4 others do... then u can possess ppl and take away their spirits, while u get to use their bodies for free... see so many innocent ppl die so easily juz bcos of a stupid serial killer's spirit... and poor fiona got raped somemore... it really pains me man... but lol i think the male lead has really gotten more than just salary.... first scene and there's fiona giving him such a tight hug... i almost shed a tear, "y tt guy isnt me.....?" so envious of him... lol... and there's lots of intimate scenes... hha... jokes aside, tt's not the main point.. all in all, the film has the sufficient thrills in it, kelvin tong deserves to be credited.

Not seen the movie

What I loved most: Read the reviews

What I really hated: Read the reviews

I havent watched the movie, but after reading so much about it, I dont think i'm going to. coz 1. a possessed body raping Fiona? 2. all talk about fiona, perhaps the reviews were done by her fans or simply men. 3. it's not arts festival, and i just want to relax. Details of laces doesnt necessary mean good movie...to me, a good one is thought-provokative.

Horror + Twist of the Year Movie!

What I loved most: All the great actors and acting!

What I really hated: Er...I just wish Fiona could be hotter and more revealing.

Overall I think the director is pretty genius. I correctly guessed during midshow that Ekin Cheng would die ultimately but not Shawn, but I must admit the ending left me pondering for a while like puzzle pieces waiting to be put into place. Ok, I think I got it all figured out quite decently. Do not read my following paragraphs if you haven't watch the show, for it may spoil your fun of guessing the ending twist. ................................................... Here's how to make sense of the ending flashbacks: Shawn rushed back to apartment, worried that the ghost (at that time the ghost was the policewoman) might possess Fiona. At this point Shawn was still unpossess. But Fiona is already possessed by the policewoman who already broke into their flat. Shawn rushed in to his flat, went to the bathroom, and saw the policewoman's corpse. Again, at this stage Shawn was still normal, but Fiona was not. Fiona suddenly hugged him from behind, spirit was passed to Shawn at this instant. Fiona's body thus became empty. Because the ghost was a sex pervert, he (who now lived in Shawn's body) had sex with "empty shell" Fiona, and the scene showed a soul-less Fiona shedding a tear. ................................................... The newly possessed Shawn went to the MAD to kill his colleague, but intentionally left some hints at the office. Ekin Cheng came by, and read the hints as an appointment set up by the ghost to negotiate with them (both Ekin and Shawn. You must understand that Ekin didn't know Shawn is possessed). They both went to the deserted house, laying in ambush for the "ghost". Shawn shot Ekin. Period. ................................................... Now here's the most puzzling part. How on earth did Ekin's wife come into the house and danced with Ekin? Suppose there's only 3 person in the house, then 1 of these 3 must be possessed. It can't be Ekin, because he's shot dead by Shawn. It can't be his wife, because his wife was still alive at the end of everything, and was not an "empty shell". So it's down to only Shawn. Now why must Shawn (ghost) fixed an appt to meet Ekin in a deserted house? So that when he killed Ekin, there's no witness. So that Shawn can easily cook up the story to the police chief that Ekin's wife was possessed and passed on to Ekin, and he had no choice but to shoot Ekin. But why kill Ekin? Because he's a veteran "ghost-killer". ................................................... Now you may ask, isn't it easy to verify with Ekin's wife whether did she go to the shophouse and dance with Ekin? Remember the police chief said that this whole incident had to be kept in top confidence? As such nobody else knows or is suppose to question what actually happened. The ghost was a genius, he had it all planned out. Well, since MAD has to adopt Rule Num 1, hence they cannot let the public, including Ekin's wife know that Ekin or anyone died because of ghost possessions. Cos Rule Num 1: There's no ghost! But the irony is that the ghost (Shawn) has now became MAD's chief. ................................................... Now when did the ghost just kill Shawn or leave his body, after all Shawn will become an empty shell thereafter? Because the ghost said he wanted to play a big game with him, and partly because the ghost can continue his sexual conquest. It's a sad ending...because all the good guys died, and the ghost remained and continues his evil ways. I'm guessing there would be a part 2 to nab or crack who's the ghost and his crimes, aka DeathNote's "who's Kira" style. ................................................... After understanding the twist, I came to appreciate this show even more. And the twist made sense!
