For those who know the true meaning of romance 3 kingdom better don't watch it. A lot of things no logic, like liu bei, zhou yu allow their best general go into battle alone and kills all the soldier, with general like that, no meaning for tactic in warfare. for those gamer and novice go watch it by all means.....

John Woo foray into directing and producing the movie based on the infamous was a sure hit with most viewers ( Judging from the various review written in here and not to mention the full hse situation when i was watcing it ). Red Cliff is just one of the various battle scene in ROT3K and to bring the story to life,it need great cast n great directing.John Woo has certainly earn himself of one of the best director in Asian. The cast of Red Cliff is also giving their best,with Tony and Takeshi teaming up together,both are great actor in their own right. What I really hated: 孙权。。。太现代感了， 孙夫人。。。感觉也不大对。。。

最近的古装片拍摄手法都蛮相似的，杀人、溢血。。。没啥新鲜的。 故事似乎有点散乱， 不大能接受戏中的“搞笑”成分，有点画蛇添足。 孔明一直持着一副很假的笑。。。像是戴了面具似的，应该是要表现深不可测的样子，可却又有种轻浮的感觉。宁静致远？还远咯。。。 太多不必要的感情戏。。。赤壁就赤壁， 怎么床戏也拍了？？？太不搭了吧。。。 两个多小时的戏，有点“绕”的感觉，还好不至于睡着。 子龙的角色，胡军演的不错，只是刘德华刚演的《见龙卸甲》太深入了， 如果《赤壁》的子龙由刘德华来演， 可能效果会更好。 （时机也是一个因素，或许已有先入为主的感觉了） 孙夫人。。。太皮了。。。 小乔的戏份太少了。。。 鸡肋。。。鸡肋！！！ no sure if the above chinese review which i wrote can be read? really hope so, cos spent some time writing it...lets see if my thirty english word can purge it in...

What I loved most: The Battle Scene

What I really hated: Protrayal of Zhuge Liang and Zhang Fei

This movie really live up to its budget spent. The 2 battle scenes was breath-taking and indeed left a deep impression in my mind upon seeing it. I salute the director and the actors for making the fighting so life-like and real. On another note, the portrayal of some of the characters in the movie did not go well with me. Zhuge Liang shouldn't be saying cold words all of a sudden, and he should look more intellgent. Zhang Fei should be more fierce in battles and not look comical when he is fighting. Overall, I find this movie not bad nonetheless. I can't wait for its second installation to release.
