Good effort

What I loved most: Good story telling, no side track or out comes a Maggie Q

This movie shows effort of bring history together with artist characteristics. It's a more commentable production compare many films done. At least the story line is what i have expected based on what i know about the history. Applause to the crew and casts. 5 Stars for you.

A high risk production for both artistes and direc

What I loved most: Can see effort being make to stick to original story line and Tony Leung acting

What I really hated: draggy and similiar battle scences from alot of other movies

I would say anyone that try to make a 3 kingdom production is running a big risk. If the story line charecter doesn't match what pple have in mind they would be slam big time as its very popular and pple already have an impression of how the character SHOULD be (e.g Guan Yu and Zhang Fei should be standing 2 heads above others. Why not ask Yao Ming and Shaq, they'll fit well haha). So kudos to John Woo for that. Can see that he makes an effort to follow the story line and try his best to bring out the character unlike another rubbish 3 kingdom movie I have seen recently without regards of the history. that said, Zhugeliang can be more serious and clver looking. In fact I feel Tony and Takashi should switch role. War scences can be more realisctic. too indivualistic and heroism involved when the generals come out indivually to battle tens of soldiers themselves and BED SCENCES SHOULDN"T BE CUT

Another disappointment.

What I loved most: The occasional joke -- I managed to laugh at least twice

What I really hated: The facial emphasis

This is another disappoinment to my favourite Three Kingdom by-product. I would rather go back to my old PC/PS games then too watch this again. This show consist of poor costume, drama, action & CG. The general actor are skinny and are not able to show awe of their individual charisma in the battle ground. The constant close up of facial expression is also a turn off with one too similar and repeative. The action is horrible. There is not a moment of excitement. Till today, Chinese movie CG still sucks big time including this one from opening till the end. After spending 80 millions, are they still not able to secure a decent support. View at your own risk. Regards.

So So

What I loved most: The Great Cast

What I really hated: Too draggy

Firstly, I would like to confess that i am a huge Fan of romance of three kingdoms since I was in secondary school. (Playing Koei 's RTK 3 on my sega almost everyday). Anyway I was quite disappointed in a particular scene that sun and liu's alliance took so long to settle wei troops of merely 2000!!!. I know it is not a scene from 300 but it sure it is too draggy. The another thing i hate about about this movie is that the dialogue of the entire cast is so so fake and no absolute chemistry with one and another. It is as if the whole show was filmed unedited using a video phone It is not cinematic at all. Just my 2 cents worth.
