Rodanthe is a tiny coastal town in North Carolina where Adrienne Willis (Diane Lane) ends up looking after a friend's inn for a weekend. Her arrival is heralded by a storm that will cause many to be stranded in the town, including Dr. Paul Flanner (Richard Gere), the only guest at the inn. Both are brought to the town by their own conflicts; Willis is running away from strained relationships with her daughter and husband while Flanner arrives in town to face a personal dilemma. As the town braces for the coming storm, Willis and Flanner find refuge in each other as they begin a romance that will trigger change in their lives.

What I loved most: the beautiful horses running at the beach-beautiful sight
What I really hated: typhoon also can make love
Diana Lake is a mother of two child.She and her husband are separated due to the husband affair.She sent her two kids their father who at that time wanted to be backed together so that she could take care of a house for her friend while she is away on business.While she is there ,she was considering her ex husband proposal to get back together for the kids.Richard Gere went to Rodanthe to see a man whose wife died in the operating room under Richard Gere.Richard Gere then did not meet the man at that time and is now facing a lawsuit from the man.He went there trying to give excuses and defend himself.Because of this,it cause friction between him and his son,James Franco.The two lived together and love begin to blossom between them during the thypoon.Both of them helped each other to face each other fear.Richard Gere then went to meet his son and Diana Lane went back to her home and decided not to reunite with her ex husband. Both of them keep in touch with each other through letter until James Franco came to tell her that Richard Gere died.
