Nick (Micheal Cera), frequents the New York's indie rock scene nursing a broken heart and a vague ability to play the bass. Norah (Kat Dennings), is questioning pretty much all of her assumptions about the world. Though they have nothing in common except for their taste in music, their chance encounter leads to an all-night quest to find a legendary band's secret show and ends up becoming the first date in a romance that could change both their lives.
Draggy? How is this in any way draggy? It's a thoroughly enjoyable, unassuming and sweet little movie. Sollett is great at handling the fumbling flirtiness of awkward teen love, and Cera and Dennings have a nice chemistry together that's convincing and endearing. It's the journey that matters, even though the ending's pretty sweet too. Ari Graynor is simply hilarious as the drunk best friend.
And I'm sorry, but if one can't understand what's going on in a teen movie like this, then one needs to stick to watching unchallenging fare like Jack Neo movies.
