The aftermath of the murder of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics in Munich when a group of Mossad agents resign their commissions and go deep underground to kill the 11 Palestinians believed to be responsible for the attack on the Israeli athletes and the personal toll this mission of revenge takes on the team and the man who led it. Inspired by actual events, the narrative is based on a number of sources, including the recollections of some who participated in the events themselves.
