The film is about three friends of different backgrounds who end up facing the same problem - cash-strapped in a society where the lack of money can bring endless problems. The three main characters are Chew Wah Keong (Jack Neo), who is a white-collar worker but a spendthrift, Ong (Mark Lee), a contractor, and Hui (Henry Thia), a coffee shop waiter who and has a crush on one of his customers named Susan.
