Lauryn (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is a young woman from a small town in Indiana who moves to Chicago with dreams of entering the Chicago School of Music and Dance. But after rejection and a series of misfortunes, she finds herself working in a burlesque club. The club proves to be a place of conflict and self-discovery, helping Lauryn to realise that even though plans may change, dreams never do.

A perfect example of a bad movie.

What I really hated: Everything.
A dance movie that boosts no cool or inventive dance moves and grooves. Already, the story is horribly written and predictable, and now, even the dance moves cannot redeem 'Make It Happen' and makes it a less crappy movie. The movie is very poorly paced, and typical. You know a movie sucks when it is 80+minutes but feels like a 120+minutes movie. Boring and tasteless, the dance moves are recycled over and over again, from body ripples to some random punching/kicking, sexy squats then back to ripples again. The best thing I could think of is probably the club 'Ruby's' setting. It is really cool but not the movie. What a failure, make it happen.
