Dodge Connolly (George Clooney), a charming, brash football hero is determined to guide his team to victory while journalist Lexie Littleton (Renee Zellweger) is hot on his heels to dig up the truth about his team's latest sensational recruit. As the new game of pro-football becomes less like the freewheeling sport he knew and loved, Dodge must both fight to keep his team together and to get the girl of his dreams.
