From Academy Award-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton, comes "John Carter"- a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). "John Carter" is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of a war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe), and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.
What I loved most: The ending
What I really hated: Dunno
I dont know which planet the Yahoo reviewer is from but I honestly thought it surprisingly is one of the best movie this year so far. I would pay to watch it in I-Max again without a doubt.

Ok, the movie is lame. There will be some people trying to get you interested in it. My advice? Take them off your Christmas gift list. And if you are stupid enough to actually go and waste your time on it, do not hold it against me. I have warned you. So, what is wrong with it? A lot, more than I can list in 10 minutes. But story is lame, script can not cope with the classic. Some of the dialogues are simply horrible. Actors are pretty lame too. True, roughly hewn lines like "A warrior can change his metal but can never change his heart" are not easy to say without a smirk by anyone. But please, get someone who can actually say them without looking constipated or get them out of the script! And that gravity thing? Sometimes it works well, sometimes it does not. Consistency is the key to making things work. That is why epic movies like Matrix or Avatar are so grand. John Carter is not and never will. Oh, and the creatures, ayayayay. Ultimate lameness! The dog thing? Pathetic. Nuff said. You have been warned.

What I loved most: nothing to shout about
What I really hated: all of the mode
it is like run of the mill type of action adventure disgusied as comic book fantasy in time long ago and far away, not the genre as per poster of trailer total lack of attention grabber, the female lead is kind of refreshing,
