Evan almighty was pretty ok..

Well, the show was, ok..it appealed to me.. It was funny and it is a pretty good one for the entire family to enjoy. So if you are looking for some fun, and humour to laugh at, then this should be the show for you. Anyway, it doesn't require any thinking at all, the story is pretty straight, and easily predictable. Call it boring or dull , if you want to , but it was somehow interesting and appealing in its own way. Give it a chance, if you have some extra cash to spend, and don't know what to do with it, then this is the entertainment that you should go for it :

Life Awareness Movie of the

What I loved most: Messages Offering and received

My review here is for those who are "ready" but maybe still doubtful of what's going on around you. Not ALL could be explained in just few simple words, lines...Everthing in this earthy illusion world happen with absolutely no coincidence, mistakes or by chance. It happened for a very good reason, well planned & designed for our highest good. Even my current moment writing this review or if you just click this by CHANCE, it has all been pre-destined to be so by the source, UNIVERSE. I'm impressed by this director and I sincerely thank him from the bottom of my heart; He has helped those who are "ready" at this point in time, sending valuable messages for the 4 of us who watched this 2 days ago. On behalf of my 3 other friends, we send and wish the director, everyone involved in EVAN ALMIGHTY every GREAT unmeasurable success wherever, however and whenever you, great people may be. Actually enjoyable, better than the first

What I loved most: ah... Lauren Graham. Morgan Freeman too.

What I really hated: nothing really, don't think it would be any better at least it wasn't worse.

Strangely, I like this one more than its predecessor. Carell is Evan Baxter, a newscaster who worked on the same little network as Jim Carrey’s Bruce in the prequel, has been elected as a congressman and intends to somehow “change the world”. On a little whim, and some nudging from his wife, Joan (the ever lovely Lauren Graham), Evan tries a little prayer but isn’t ready when the answer comes calling. God (Freeman reprising his role) turns up and tells Evan to build an ark. Naturally, he’s skeptical at first but relents in the end (or there wouldn’t be a movie). The comedy isn’t really fresh but the references, both biblical and cultural, do draw your attention and elicit laughs – some may be giggles and some may be guffaws; yes, some may be moans and groans. However, there is a heart in all of it and perhaps a larger one than in its predecessor. A majority of the charm comes from Carell as the put upon Evan. The changes he faces, physically and within himself, come through his somewhat expressive eyes. Morgan Freeman is ably game, reprising ‘Al Mighty’ and while the script may call for it, he somehow tones down the preaching and makes it come across more as sage wisdom, probably through the nature of his delivery. He lights up the screen with every appearance, especially so with the outtakes over the end credits. There isn’t very much on show here although the ark is impressive in its own (virtual) right. The effects (particularly with the animals and the flood - yes, there is one, which was featured in the trailer) work seamlessly with everything else on screen. It must have been a major headache for the animal wranglers. Fans of Bruce Almighty might find this to be a disappointment, especially if they’re expecting Carell to succeed Jim Carrey. Carell’s range and ability to shift between comedy and drama (see Little Miss Sunshine, The 40 Year Old Virgin or even the US version of The Office) is in play here although he is far more understated than one would expect. Was this sequel warranted? Probably not. It is, however, not as bad as one would expect from a sequel. For me, it is a one of the rare occasions where it does trump its predecessor. Rating: 6/10 Aug 22, 2007.
