Pretty Good, Not the best or worst
What I loved most: I like his worker and the scene with her saying, "she gets all those animals to do that??? I c
What I really hated: I cant really remember anything that bad
Great storyline, i think the script couldve been taken a little more seriously with the writing. but, all and all, a good family movie. i highly reccomend for kids. Kids will have a blast watching it.

Going to need to raise the bar...
OK, OK, I admit, i am writing this review only based on what i have seen, but nevertheless, i have seen enough to understand the movie. Storyline:Evan Baxter is a congressman. then god calls on him to ask him to build an ark entirely out of wood and Evan turns from a 21st century guy to more or less a caveman who looks like a missionary. HA HA. However, the politicians of Washington do not believe his story and think he is toking absoulute crap. still Evean continues to build the ark in spite of threats to demolish it. will Evan be able to complete the ark and survive the flood?????????????????
comments: Well well well, the storyline has spoken for itself, but the rest???? I dunno what the hell is wrong with Evan. And the fact that god can predict the flood is more or less impossible. If it wants to put up a sequel called Jim almighty or Jackie almighty or whatever ha ha, its gonna need more character and deeper inside... Rating: 3/5 Conclusion: Don't bother about the sequel...

Another Underrated Film
What I loved most: How the movie manages to get important messages across while staying fun.. Steve Carell rocks!!!
What I really hated: The beginning was a bit draggy
8Days gave it only a passable 3 stars but I'm glad I went to watch it anyway. Sure, the movie didn't start off with a bang, but it's not an action movie. If anything, the beginning was boring. Why 4 stars overall then? Like Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty is more than just a comedy. Morgan Freeman, as God, shows once again the need to redefine our priorities in life, by asking Evan to build an ARK (you'll find out why I typed this in capitals). This of course ruins Evan's life, but we find out that everything happens for a reason, and all we need is a little faith. I love Evan's "The Dance" (lol) and all the little puns (look out for the names of people and signs). What I really liked was the scene at a fast food place where God was talking to Joan Baxter (Evan's wife)- most of us think we can get what we want just by praying, and we fail to recognise the chance given to make it happen, because it's not presented in the way we expected. This movie is worth the ticket price simply because it entertains as well as enlightens.
