Death Note

What I loved most: Ken'ichi Matsuyama

What I really hated: The God of Death

i didnt think i was gonna enjoy it but hell i did. this is your typical horror movie with no ending and a few scares. the monster was quite a turn off as he looked as fake as pamela anderson. the main fact that caught my biggest attention was "L"! Boy was he a funny one. Not to mention a really cute and smart one too. xD. im just waiting for the next part to be released. No doubt ill be in the front seat again.

Now I need an apple

What I loved most: The god of death

What I really hated: You really need to pay attention

Pretty good movie, better then I expected. May not appeal to those expecting hollywood style special effects but interesting (if simple) concept. Waiting for part II which I guess I'll definately catch.

What a thriller

What I loved most: Nice plot twists and turns

What I really hated: Typical 'anime'-ish characters

Death Note is not a bad choice if you want a break from the regular Hollywood fare at the cinemas. Sure it's got cheesy Japanese anime styled characters (only missing the hairstyles!) and 3rd rate computer graphics effects but the plot twists and turns kept me glued to the screen the entire time.

Battle of wits

What I loved most: The subtle things they do to outwit each other.

I was pleasantly surprised by the contents of the movie, being someone foreign to the manga series. While entertaining with the battle of wits between two geniuses, the movie also explores differences in perspective of moral values. The pace is a little slow in certain parts, but that adds to the suspense and atmosphere. A clever and intriguing movie. Can't wait for it's sequel.
