quite a good

What I loved most: tasteful done-no sex scene which is unrelated to the movies

What I really hated: too much talking in the movie

This movie is basically about a normal Congressman who went to Afghanistan who were at that time attacked by the Soviets.Seeing hands on,he fought all the way to increase the money for helping the Afghan fight against the Soviets. As a muslim , it was quite touching to see documentary pictures of them suffering and when they express their joy when they defeated the Soviets

"In your face" covert

What I loved most: Documentary style shots of refugee camps

Dont know if the movie's really meant to be a retrospective trace to the beginnings of the terrorism war we face today but it certainly was very entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed the nuances and sly references to political drivers of middle America (double standards) among other things. I didn't find evidence of the reviewer's reference to the censored "F" word - it was loud and clear throughout the movie. It should be with an NC16 tag - the movie wouldn't have made much sense if the sexual references peppering much of the dialogue were censored out. I liked the parting shot of the movie - a quote by Charlie Wilson himself about "f***ing up the end game" though I very much doubt building schools was going to make a great difference anyway. That's just too naive a view on the jihad movement. I hope the movie wasn't aimed at 'reminding' certain groups how they were helped once - would be rather preachy if it were and condescending. So the covert is now overt?!
