This comedy is set against the backdrop of the rapidly developing city of Beijing. It takes a look at three women from different professions and backgrounds, and presents a contemporary chic comedy on how they deal with love. Zhou Xun transforms from gentle to captivating, playing 12 roles in the movie including a doctor, a patient, a reporter, and more. Kwai Lun-mei transforms from innocent to rock-and-roll, while Kitty Zhang from girl-next-door to rich coquette.

A movie poster featuring three pretty women catching men with butterfly nets looks very attractive. Sadly, that's the only interesting thing you'll get out of this movie. So stop, look at the poster and walk far, far away.

The main plot revolves around three ladies named Fan Fan, Tang Lu and Tie Ling with experimental pheromone patches. What are pheromone patches you ask? These are patches that contain invisible hormones that will attract the opposite sex once placed on the person's skin.

While watching the film, it was quite hard to know where was the story leading. It was rather choppy and disorganised in connecting the weird and wacky scenes together. It just came across to that director Tsui Hark seems to be in his own world, making this movie without taking the audience's movie experience into consideration. The film made little sense and neither was it bone-tickling.

Bearing the movie (particularly Fan Fan's clumsiness of always losing her contact lens) was tough to swallow. There were many scenes that could be done without to shorten this nearly 2 hour-long flick, which seemed to take ages to end. Needless to say, it started and ended on the same note. It never got truly exciting.

Thankfully, there's the gorgeous Kitty Zhang to look at while she plays her character Tang Lu, the strong feminist.
