Easily the best out of the 3 festive season hits

What I loved most: Great actings by the actors
What I really hated: Some corny scenes like the hokkien dance girls, duration a bit too long for my preference
After reading numerous reviews, especially those that are exceptionally negative regarding the quality of this show, I implore fellow Singaporeans to put things into perspective.
If i am to compare to following 3 shows (Ah Long, CJ7, Kung Fu Basketball), Ah long easily outshines the rest.
Why is that so? Ask yourself, what is the objective of Ah Long's Pte Ltd? There may be many but the main objective is to endow the movie goers with a good hearty laugh for the festive season, and for that, it excels with distinction.
For CJ-7, if it wasn't for the crowd pulling power of Stephen Chow as a brand name, I seriously doubt that the movie would gross an impressive revenue. The storyline was average at best, and those catching this movie hoping for some nostalgic feelings regarding Stephen chow’s show will be disappointed.
Stephen mentioned that his new direction was to craft out a show that not only evokes laughter but also sadness. Laughter for this show comes sporadic at best and sadness? Was anyone even feeling depressed when Stephen died? At least I wasn’t as it was so predictable that the CJ7 is going to revivify him. And please, I’m not a callous person.
The scene in Ah Long where the innocent girl was berating the Ah long’s monstrosities acts that left her destitute and helpless got my heart aching more.
And for Kung Fu Basketball, this simply shows how many movie viewers and critics are parochial and perennially downplaying the abilities of their own fellow Singaporeans. The inherent nature of this show is simply a direct copy of Shaolin Soccer and yet I don’t see much people censuring its blatant duplicity and yet Ah Long gets mercilessly criticized.
Ask yourself this question, how many movies out there today is seriously one of its kinds, an authentic radical storyline that is truly original? Most Movies making are like business strategies, if some genres or products are profitable, place your bet that it is going to be replicated, albeit with some modifications and yet it will still be lauded for being a good show/strategy.
Bah. Except when it is produced by a local producer.
Be proud of the talent that Singaporeans has and stop being so critical without assessing things from more angles. Ah Long’s may not be excellent in all aspects, but at least it fared well enough in my opinion.

What I loved most: Mark Lee's Acting
What I really hated: Fann Wong Unsuitable for e Role
An enjoyable, funny and relaxing comedy!!!! I have a good laugh man!!!! All thanks to Mark Lee!!! He must have put in lots of effort. I went for the show because of Mark Lee. DEFINITELY not a supporter of Fann Wong man. She simply isn't suitable for that kind of Ah Lian's role, what's more a big boss of the secret society!!! Sharon Au will be so much better!!! Strongly believed without mark Lee, the show will not be great at all!!!!!!

What I loved most: Whole Storyline
What I really hated: A Bit sad about the girl with losing parent
I didn't watch "my wife is gangster", so I don't know whether the storyline for both is same or not. But I can tell this is totally a local comedy for S'pore. I Really like this movie and I have watched 2 others famous movie during Chinese New, I like Ah Long Pte Ltd the most~
Especially when Mark Lee taught Ah Long the way of demand the payment of a debt, I laught with loud when I saw women from 881 sang suround a guy~ haha~ I enjoyed the show~
Although I am not S'porean but I will support it also!
