What I loved most: Visuals
What I really hated: Rest of it
Boring show with no brains. One of these movies the trailer is promising some epic masterpiece but disappoints badly in the end when you actually watch the full piece. You finally realize you have once again fallen for some bits and pieces of some rubbish movie that have been brought to life for the only purpose to make you buy a movie ticket. I hate it. I hate trailers. For the movie itself there is no real story being told, it stays pathetic and shapeless, the historical background has been ignored almost completely and to cut a long story short: it is just about a bunch of half naked men going to war. (Btw, I found it rather nice of the opponent to call for battle in summertimes otherwise the Spartans would have frozen off their asses.) The characters of our heroes stay undeveloped and as flat has Kate Moss till the very end of the movie. There is just one thing you've been told about them all over and over again: they are selfless heroes fighting for glory and everyone is prepared to die for his country. I know, life was tough back in the days but definitely not all about dying and selflessly defending the country. However, the action is done very well as well as it regards the visuals. Sometimes it feels like a m-tv video clip when modern rock music kicks in. I guess the movie suffers from being a visual adaptation of a comic book. I think that is the main reason way it just stays another crappy movie you forget as soon as the curtain falls and u are about to leave the place of disappointment - once again.

What I loved most: Great Inspiration
What I really hated: Inevitable death of 300
Deeply touched by the spirits which made the king and his warriors do what they intended to do -- to die the Spartan way!. I think the story demontrated the meanings behind Honours, pride, loyalty, bravery, dignity and courage to the fullest. Such values are rarely found in modern men, and that's why I found this movie especially good and outstanding. Soul searching after watching the movie should help one re-assess his/her values in life. To what extent is one willing to stick to his/her belief and value without any compromise? The maximum of course is one's willingness to die for what he/she believes in. Go watch the movie, be touched, moved and inspired!
