What I loved most: Every spartan warrior
What I really hated: The death of all 300 the soldiers in the end
This is must see for people who enjoy watching gladiator-type of shows. Not only will girls drool over the men's body, boys will feel more like a man after watching this movie. The fighting scene is awesome and the inspirational speech King Leonidas gave to his soldiers before they engage the persians is definitely worth your money!

Good movie
What I loved most: It's fiction
What I really hated: Someone took it as a history class
In my opinion it was a very entertaining movie with great visual graphics, given that it is not a re-enactment of the Battle of Thermopylae (don't know what the hell the undergrad is blabbing about), I would give it 2 thumbs up for great entertainment. Given the appearance of Persians and Spartans in the movie, honestly I don't really care whether they look like africans or chippendale dancers. Maybe I should watch the original 300 Spartans from 92. However, with Frank's version of 300 and Sin City, I think 300 is more entertaining. Both are great though, as one would expect from Frank Miller and Zack Snyder. Essentially, I would not believe everything from the movie because if I did, I would have to believe that Xerxes army are made up of some really weird warriors. However maybe the next time i want to watch a movie, I'll consult my history text from University before going to the cinema.

What I loved most: Visual images, action scenes...
What I really hated: Twisted history, BIASED...
I am taking the history of the Greek and Persian Empires at my university now, and according to the movie, I felt that it was biased towards the Persians.
What is most disturbing about this movie is not that it lacks historical accuracy. It is not that Xerxes, the Grandson of Cyrus The Great and loving husband of Esther, is shown as an oversized drag queen. It is not even the outdated racist cliche of casting the Persians as Africans and the Spartans as white, blue-eyed 'Chippendale dancers,' when in reality the roles may well have been reversed.
According to History, the Persian king was sacred because his power was associated with their religion "Zoroastrianism", in which the gods held the king accountable to fight the cosmic battle on earth. I don't necessary believe what they believe, however, we should respect other peoples' views and beliefs...
This movie made me realize that a person should study history inorder to distinguish whether the story that is being told is %100 true or not.
One advice:
"Don't believe everything you watch!!!"

What I loved most: The graphics were phenomenal with a capital F!
What I really hated: I only managed to catch it once. Sob!
This has to be counted amongst one of the greatest movies of all time. The storyline is simple, the acting is ok but it's the imagery that blows one's mind. Maybe someday all movies will be made like this but for now, this one is really something else. Go see!
