Renowned horror writer Mike Enslin (John Cusack) only believes what he can see. After writing a string of bestsellers discrediting paranormal events in haunted houses and graveyards around the world, he scoffs at the concept of an afterlife. Enslin's phantom-free run of long and lonely nights is about to change when he checks into Suite 1408 of the notorious Dolphin Hotel for his latest project, "Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms." Ignoring the warnings of the hotel manager (Samuel L. Jackson), the author is the first person in years to stay in the reputedly haunted room. Another bestseller may be imminent, but Enslin must first survive the night. What he is about to experience is that not every myth is fiction.
What I loved most: Story, Acting, Suspense, Twists, Lack of Physical Ghost
What I really hated: Dumbass Viewers & Critics Whose Brains & Senses Have Been Numbed By Dumb Horror Movies..
Fantastic movie.. really.. this review is 2yrs late.. but better late than never right? and those jokers who whined, moaned n biatched about the movie are those who need to see the physical presence of a ghost to be convinced it's a horror movie, or the presence of loads of blood & gore & severed body parts to believe it's a thriller.. the kind of people who will thoroughly enjoy movies like Rambo IV & the Saw series (tho there's a deeper meaning to the Saw series that I enjoy and these dumbasses won't see).. seriously people, start to appreciate good movies.. or go stick your heads up your own arses.. cheers..
